Stress is an inevitable part of life and is something everyone experiences.

MINDFULNESS, RESILIENCE & Pranayama

Stress is usually related to the things we care the most about. The irony is that living a life without any stressors, likely means live a life without much meaning. It is well known that chronic stress can take a physical, mental and emotional toll. However, by developing a resilient mindset it is possible to minimize its impact on our ability to function and thrive.

Resilience is our capacity to not only bounce back from stressors, but also to grow and thrive during intense and challenging times. Using evidence-based tools drawn from the fields of cognitive-neuroscience, stress resilience and positive psychology, the aim of mindfulness and resilience coaching is to strengthen one’s ability to maintain balance in the face of adversity. This essential skill supports doing and feeling your best.

Prāṇāyāma is the practice of breath control in yoga. In modern yoga as exercise, it consists of synchronizing the breath with movements between asanas, but is also a distinct breathing exercise on its own, usually practiced after asanas. Prana means life force or breath sustaining the body; Ayama translates as "to extend or draw out." Together two mean breath extension or control.
