Janna is known for her dynamic approach to teaching, infused with humor and heart. She is personally committed to making a difference in the lives of her students and clients by offering them empowering tools to optimize their vitality, resilience, and overall well-being. She has served as a faculty member of the Kripalu Yoga in the Schools (KYIS) program — a powerful tool to help youth find stability, enhance their sense of self, and co-create a more compassionate school environment. Cultivating those qualities is important for managing the struggles of adolescence as well as laying the groundwork for becoming emotionally healthy adults.

Janna recently participated in a workshop for YOGA ALLIANCE ON the Scientific Research on Yoga in Schools — which features a panel discussion facilitated by wellness expert Kim Weeks.

Watch it below.

She is also a lead trainer for RISE™ at Kripalu. RISE is an evidence-based professional development program anchored in the science and practice of mindfulness, yoga, and Positive Psychology. Developed by Kripalu Center for Yoga & Health in partnership with school leaders and classroom teachers, the RISE program beings together more than a decade of research in mindfulness, resilience, brain science, and social and emotional intelligence.
